I think I will pair up with Brooklyn and Hailey to work on a promotional video all about service learning. We will follow other students who go volunteer/job shadow in the class and film what they do. I will come up with questions to ask the individual such as "Do you think you will continue doing service learning after high school?"
Creating a video promoting active high-schoolers doing good in the world will inspire other students to do the same. A video can inspire millions of people. I know this video about making the homeless smile inspired me to be ore outgoing to people, homeless or not. We all are human beings with emotions, and we all like to play games and talk to people. Just because some people have worse circumstances than others does not change the fact that they have feelings, too.
It starts with us and it starts with generations to come.
I think it is awesome that your three are going to combine all the different talents to make as promotional video. I also find it pretty cool that you are planning to follow other students in the class. I think it brings all of our work together to come in full force and be very inspiring. I am so excited to see what the video will be!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good idea. I too believe that this will inspire people. It all starts with one person, and sometimes people want to do these things but are scared. If you show everyone that their not the only ones thinking of this stuff, it will definitely encourage others. I cant wait to see this video. :)
ReplyDeleteI think this is a phenomenal idea. When Brooklyn told me the idea I didn't necessarily know what she was talking about, but reading this helped a lot. I think it will be a good thing to do to kind of get the word out there for other students.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of great ideas that people have for their projects so being able to film and make it more public is an incredible thing. It'll allow people to see what is really going on and how their project is making a difference. I love it!

ReplyDeleteI first must say what a lovely name!—I have never gotten to tell you that. I know we discussed what you wanted to do for this project on Friday after class. I think whatever you decide to do would be fine. Learning about music seems fun, which is what we want you to do with this project!

ReplyDeleteI think your idea of making a video to sort of promote high schoolers giving back is a wonderful one. Visual media has a way of bringing people together and inspiring like no other form of media can. I really can't wait to see it:)
